Proud Theater became a program of OutReach--Madison's LGBT community center in late 2003. Toward this end, OutReach and Proud Theater has recently joined the Rainbow Alliance for Youth (RAY), a supportive coalition representing 14 LGBT youth groups statewide.

“We’re at a crucial stage in the group’s development. As we seek out new funding sources, we also need to continue to reach out to the larger community,” Quinlan states. “Financial contributions and in-kind donations are much-needed and always welcome. Some of the volunteer opportunities are highly specialized, and aren’t necessarily for everyone, so potential adult mentors are asked to contact OutReach to schedule an informational interview. However, there are countless ways that anyone can help.”
